The Choice Is Yours

In economics, we are taught that man’s wants are endless; what men want in their lifetime cannot be quantified or counted. And so in economics we learn how to satisfy those endless wants given scarce resources. In my opinion, it looks like a losing battle because if what u want is endless and the available resources to use to satisfy those wants is limited and scarce; how you gonna get it then?!

If you look at today’s generation, you will see that truly our wants are endless and there’s just not enough resources to satisfy them all.

Its because of this scarcity  that we are so focused on getting what we want that we seem not to care for what we do to achieve it. We talk of environment degradation, pollution, walking all over others, sacrificing our families, cheating, stealing, lying against someone,  and some even go as far as killing; all of this in order to achieve what we want. What we don’t realize is that processing; that is what we do to achieve what we want, matters. It is even greater than the result we are seeking in the first place. What you do to get something or the way you go about it, determines the value of the result you get.

If you want a car and you steal it or you steal money in order to buy it, then that car will profit you nothing because what comes from stealing goes back to stealing; if you get a degree through cheating in the exam, then that degree is meaningless. Whatever you get through corrupt means, is corrupted!! Therefore processing is very essential!!

We are always wanting something, if it isn’t this thing over here it’s another thing over there. A man would break his health down trying to get wealth and then turn around and spend his wealth trying to get his health back.  If your bank account gets low then your blood pressure gets high. If you have food on the table, your faith gets weak, while you’re building up over here; it’s falling apart over there. We just can’t seem to be able to get all that we want!! I’m not promoting poverty or laziness; I’m just saying that there’s just gotta be a better way to get or satisfy our wants and needs.

The question now is:  what is the way out? What’s the lasting solution? Is this how we are destined to spend our life on earth? Just looking and working and never really satisfied??

Well, let me tell you the good news: Yes; there’s a way out!! And that lasting solution is found in JESUS CHRIST!!  He is the only person you can receive in your life and be satisfied; when you have him, you are satisfied! I mean you shall not want for anything at all!!

But the choice is yours now; what will you do with Jesus Christ and the choice you make will determine your future!! Keep in mind that Jesus loves you and He wants to do good to you and satisfy you with good things. (Psalm 103:1-5)

May you be blessed as you read this poem and discover  that The Lord Jesus Christ is all we need!!!

All  I  WANT

The Lord is my shepherd

I shall not want

I shall not want for rest

For He maketh me to lie down in green pastures

I shall not want for refreshment

For He leadeth me beside the still waters

I shall not want for forgiveness

For He restoreth my soul

I shall not want for guidance

For He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake

I shall not want for companionship

For yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I will fear no evil for Thou art with me

I shall not want for comfort

For Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me

I shall not want for provision and sustenance

For Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies

I shall not want for joy

For Thou anointest my head with oil and my cup runest over

I shall not want for anything in this life

For goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life

I shall not want for anything in the life to come

For I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever

I guess what I’m trying to say is that

The Lord Jesus Christ is my Shepherd

And that’s all I want!!!

Psalm 23:1-6

The Best Is Always Yet To Come!!
